Mason turns 10 (months!): loves Lake Powell, watermelon and his Aunt "Sugar"

We are finally home from our Lake Powell trip and hope to have pictures posted soon to the picture gallery. All in all, it was a great trip (it always is)! It was a little different this year with a baby and not quiiiitttteeee as relaxing but it was awesome, none the less.

Mason turned 10 months old the last day on the lake. While we were on the houseboat, he started taking five or six steps at a time and learned to clap while saying "yay!". This was great fun for all on board.

Grandma let him try watermelon for the first time and he loved it! A little wary of the texture at first (go figure) but soon couldn't get enough. Aunt Sugar (Aunt Meg) worked hard to upset Aunt Tracey as Mason's Favorite Aunt Du Jour and Mason made sure to get plenty of shut eye time with Uncle Kam. Uncle Kristiaan and his girlfriend, Meghan, the lone under-21ers on the boat, did a good job keeping an extra eye on Mason while Mom and Dad kept their eyes on their Margaritas.

Mason had another first on board - his first time meeting his Great Uncle Dave!

Thanks again for a wonderful trip, mom and dad! We feel so fortunate to be invited along for the adventure.
